How to learn English if you know Lithuanian? App recommendation for elder?

One of the apps you can use is for languages is Duolingo. BUT does not currently offer Lithuanian as a supported language. As of mid-2024 and into 2025, there is no official Lithuanian course available on Duolingo, and users cannot rely on the platform for structured Lithuanian language lessons. While there is continued interest in the addition of Lithuanian, and some community discussions and petitions exist, Duolingo has not yet launched this language, likely due to demand and resource prioritization.

If you want to learn Lithuanian, you will need to use alternative platforms such as Ling, Talkpal, Memrise, or italki, all of which provide resources for Lithuanian language learners.

Summary: As of August 2025, there is no fully-supported “learn English from Lithuanian” course on Duolingo or comparable global apps. The best solution is to use tutoring platforms to match with bilingual instructors or use apps that at least allow Lithuanian as a base language (though these remain scarce).

Do you know any other app to recommend to elder People?

While there is no direct setting to return to the old alphabetical paginated list, there is a workaround: switching the app drawer’s sort order to "Custom" from the menu. How to Restore Paginated App Drawer Open the App Drawer: Swipe up from the home screen to access all  Tap the three dots menu: It's at the top or bottom of the app drawer (search bar area) Select "Sort" and choose "Custom Order": This switches the app drawer to a horizontal, paged layout—apps are spread across pages rather than in a vertical list Optional: Use "Clean Up Pages" Button: After switching to custom order, you may see uneven app distribution.
