Is it mandatory to register latest kindle device?

Latest kindle software is very offensive by forcing pop about about registration once you turn ir on :)

Is there a way not to register?  It is not strictly mandatory to register the latest Kindle device to use it, as you can use some basic functions without registration by opting to "set up later" and connecting your Kindle to a PC for sideloading content. However, registration is required to access Amazon services like the Kindle Store, cloud library syncing, and certain features such as cover display options.aboutamazon+1

Key points about Kindle registration:

Registering your Kindle links it to your Amazon account, enabling easy access to purchased Kindle books, syncing across devices, and the ability to buy or download from the Kindle Store

Without registration, you cannot access cloud content or buy books directly; you would need to sideload content manually via USB

Some Kindle features like display covers are only available when the device is registered.

Deregistering or not registering your Kindle can help avoid accidental purchases or privacy concerns but limits functionality.

The most recent Samsung update (One UI 7 / Android 15) switched the app drawer to a vertical

The most recent Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra update (One UI 7 / Android 15) switched the app drawer to a vertical, continuous scroll by default, removing the horizontal paginated (page-by-page) view many users preferred. While there is no direct setting to return to the old alphabetical paginated list, there is a workaround: switching the app drawer’s sort order to "Custom" from the menu. How to Restore Paginated App Drawer Open the App Drawer: Swipe up from the home screen to access all  Tap the three dots menu: It's at the top or bottom of the app drawer (search bar area) Select "Sort" and choose "Custom Order": This switches the app drawer to a horizontal, paged layout—apps are spread across pages rather than in a vertical list Optional: Use "Clean Up Pages" Button: After switching to custom order, you may see uneven app distribution. The "Clean Up Pages" option will fill each page more densely but the apps will not be sorted alpha...

Lenovo Thinkpad T400S Laptop keyboard change

What is the last time, you saw your pc keyboard change? I mean buttons? :) Well this time, Lenovo DID: "Lenovo put nearly a year of research into two design changes that debuted on an updated ThinkPad laptop this week. No, not the thinner, lighter form or the textured touchpad — rather, the extra-large "Delete" and "Escape" keys."

Biking, what is the major gain to use clips?

I was wondering.  The major gain from using clips (clipless pedals) in biking is increased pedaling efficiency, especially during climbs and sprints, as they allow a rider to both push down and pull up on the pedals, resulting in a more fluid and effective power transfer with every stroke. Efficiency and Power Transfer Clipping in ensures that a rider's feet remain in the optimal position on every pedal stroke, maximizing the amount of power transferred directly from the legs to the bike, which can lead to greater speed and reduced effort for the same output. With clips, cyclists engage a wider range of leg muscles, allowing for a smoother stroke and utilizing both the downstroke (quads) and upstroke (hamstrings), which is not possible on flat pedals where the upstroke is wasted. How ever, this is some theory with practice, can we gave some estimated % value for this? The percentage improvement in cycling performance from using clips (clipless pedals) is typically around 5% ...
