Is it mandatory to register latest kindle device?

Latest kindle software is very offensive by forcing pop about about registration once you turn ir on :)

Is there a way not to register?  It is not strictly mandatory to register the latest Kindle device to use it, as you can use some basic functions without registration by opting to "set up later" and connecting your Kindle to a PC for sideloading content. However, registration is required to access Amazon services like the Kindle Store, cloud library syncing, and certain features such as cover display options.aboutamazon+1

Key points about Kindle registration:

Registering your Kindle links it to your Amazon account, enabling easy access to purchased Kindle books, syncing across devices, and the ability to buy or download from the Kindle Store

Without registration, you cannot access cloud content or buy books directly; you would need to sideload content manually via USB

Some Kindle features like display covers are only available when the device is registered.

Deregistering or not registering your Kindle can help avoid accidental purchases or privacy concerns but limits functionality.

While there is no direct setting to return to the old alphabetical paginated list, there is a workaround: switching the app drawer’s sort order to "Custom" from the menu. How to Restore Paginated App Drawer Open the App Drawer: Swipe up from the home screen to access all  Tap the three dots menu: It's at the top or bottom of the app drawer (search bar area) Select "Sort" and choose "Custom Order": This switches the app drawer to a horizontal, paged layout—apps are spread across pages rather than in a vertical list Optional: Use "Clean Up Pages" Button: After switching to custom order, you may see uneven app distribution. The "Clean Up Pages" option will fill each page more densely but the apps will not be sorted alpha...
