Cost of the Facebook fan of your page or Starbucks

In social media we always ask - What is the monetary value of these fans or how to monetize them.

For example - What did Starbucks gain, then invested in it's Facebook fan base - acquired in part with several big ad buys. Now it;s  6.5 million fan base which is worth $23.4 million in media annually.

How we get this number - The company's findings are based on:
  • impressions generated in the Facebook news feed
  • the stream of recent updates from users' networks.
Brand's 1 million fans generate about $300,000 in media value each month.
